Prague Chat is built on respect, authenticity, and kindness. These guidelines help maintain a positive environment where everyone feels comfortable connecting with others. By using our platform, you agree to follow these rules.
Expected Behavior
We expect all users to:
- Treat others with respect and kindness
- Be honest and authentic in your profile and interactions
- Obtain consent before sharing someone's image or personal information
- Respect others' boundaries and preferences
- Report violations instead of engaging in arguments
- Follow applicable laws and regulations
Prohibited Activities
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension or permanent ban:
Harassment & Bullying
- Targeted insults, threats, or intimidation
- Repeated unwanted contact after being asked to stop
- Doxxing or sharing someone's private information without consent
- Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability
Inappropriate Content
- Sharing pornographic material or engaging in sexually graphic conversations
- Posting violent, graphic, or disturbing content
- Promoting self-harm or suicide
- Sharing fake news, misinformation, or spam
Fraud & Scams
- Impersonating another person or entity
- Catfishing (creating a fake identity to deceive others)
- Asking for money, gifts, or financial information
- Promoting pyramid schemes or illegal activities
Platform Abuse
- Using bots, automation, or scripts to manipulate the platform
- Attempting to hack, phish, or gain unauthorized access
- Spamming or sending unsolicited bulk messages
- Circumventing bans by creating new accounts
Content & Conversation Standards
While we support free expression, Prague Chat is designed for friendly conversation and genuine connection. We encourage:
- Open-minded discussions about culture, travel, hobbies, and interests
- Supportive conversations where people feel comfortable sharing
- Light humor and friendly banter
- Language exchange and learning opportunities
We discourage:
- Heavy political debates that can lead to arguments
- Controversial topics that may make others uncomfortable
- Oversharing of personal trauma in early conversations
- Clickbait or deceptive profile information
Enforcement
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
- Warning: First-time minor violations receive a warning and explanation.
- Temporary Suspension: Repeated or moderate violations result in temporary account suspension (7–30 days).
- Permanent Ban: Severe violations or repeated offenses lead to permanent removal from the platform.
Our moderation team reviews all reports and makes decisions based on context and severity. We may also take action without a report if we identify violations ourselves.
Reporting Process
If you witness behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it. To report a user:
- Click the report button on their profile or in the chat
- Select the reason for reporting
- Provide any additional details (optional but helpful)
- Submit the report
All reports are anonymous and reviewed within 24 hours. We do not notify the reported user about who filed the report.
Appeals
If you believe your account was suspended or banned in error, you may appeal by contacting our support team at [email protected]. Include your username and explanation of why you believe the action was mistaken. We review appeals carefully and respond within 48 hours.
Updates to Guidelines
These community guidelines may be updated periodically to address new issues or clarify existing rules. We'll notify users of significant changes through the platform. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
